Pakistani Boat: Rs 600 Cr Drugs Seized En Route Sri Lanka; 14 Held

In the Porbandar region of Gujarat on Sunday, the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) detained 86 kg of suspected drugs of worth Rs 600 Cr and 14 member. The boat was en route to Sri Lanka via Tamil Nadu. When the Indian side open fire, injuring one of the crew members, the drugs taken during a joint ICG operation with the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).

ATS Thwarts Drug Smuggling: Pakistani Operative’s Plot to Sri Lanka Intercepted

In a formal statement, ATS Superintendent of Police KK Patel stated that he was inform that Haji Aslam, also known as Babu Balock, a drug operative from Pakistan, intended to send a boat from Karachi harbour named “Alraza” to deliver drugs like heroin and methamphetamine on the intervening night of 25 and 26 April near the International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) off Porbandar. The statement said, “The said contraband could be deliver to a dhow from Tamil Nadu to be further deliver to drug operatives base in Sri Lanka.”

Indian Forces Fire on Suspect Vessel: Crew Member Injured

A suspicious vessel found 180 nautical miles off Porbandar in the Indian Seas by the Gujarat ATS and ICG combine team. “The crew of the suspect boat obstructed the Indian Coast Guard and Gujarat ATS team that had tried to board the vessel for checking. Firepower was used to restrain the crew and to stop the fleeing vessel, resulting in one member of the crew receiving bullet injuries,” the ATS said.

Pakistan Crew’s Boat Seized: Biggest Election Drug Bust, Master Injured

Contraband stuff was found during a check of the suspicious fishing boat, which had 14 crew members, all are citizens of Pakistan. According to the official announcement, this is the largest seizure of narcotics and psychotropic substances in the nation during the current Lok Sabha Elections.
The 14 accused are all locals of Lasbela, in Balochistan, Pakistan. The boat’s 62-year-old master, Nazir Hussain Azam Khan, was transport for additional medical attention after receiving a bullet wound. He underwent surgery, and his condition is now stable.
