A man was arrested in Madhya Pradesh’s Satna for allegedly killing a three-month-old baby in retaliation against the child’s father.
According to the police, the accused, identified as Virendra Chaudhary, a resident of Hanuman Nagar, allegedly kidnapped the infant while he was sleeping with his parents near a temple on November 6, and then killed him by throwing the child on the ground several times.

Police registered a case under Section 137 (2) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita and launched a search operation for the missing child.
They recovered an infant’s body, which was packed inside a sack, on November 8 from Panni Lal Chowk and after Pandey identified the body, an investigation was launched to find the accused.
Based on CCTV footage, the police arrested Virendra Chaudhary within 24 hours, who confessed to killing the infant. He said that he had a dispute with Prince Pandey and that Pandey had physically assaulted him around 20 days ago.
Chaudhary has been arrested, and further investigation is on, police said.
