In an encounter in Shopian, J&K, two LeT terrorists were neutralized. One of these was responsible for the murder of Kashmiri Pandit Sanjay Sharma.
On October 10, an encounter took place in the Alshipora neighborhood of Shopian, Jammu and Kashmir. This resulted in the neutralization of two Lashkar-e-Taiba militants. Search activities are still going on, according to reports that the Jammu and Kashmir Police and sister security forces battled these terrorists early in the night.
The terrorists who were murdered have been named as Morifat Maqbool and Jazim Farooq, also known as Abrar, of the terrorist group LeT, according to the Additional Director General of Police in Kashmir. The terrorist Abrar was implicated in the death of the late Sanjay Sharma, a Kashmiri Pandit, according to the ADGP.

The JK police announced earlier in the day that an encounter had begun in the Shopian neighborhood of Alshipora. The police and security personnel are at work. Further information will be provided.
