Lahore mafia leader Ameer Balaj Tipu shot at wedding

An unidentified assailant fatally shot Ameer Balaj Tipu, a prominent figure in Lahore’s underworld and the owner of a goods transport network, on Feb 18. The shooting occurred during a wedding ceremony in the Chung area on February 18, as reported by a private TV channel, according to Dawn.

Police reports indicate that the assailant shot Balaj and two other guests, critically injuring them. Balaj’s armed associates swiftly retaliated, resulting in the immediate death of the attacker. Dawn reported that news of Balaj’s death stirred grief and anger among his supporters, who gathered at the hospital to mourn. Heartrending scenes unfolded as some women were seen beating their chests and condemning the perpetrators, while others loudly expressed their loyalty to Balaj.

Ameer Balaj Tipu, Son of Slain Arif Amir Fatally Attacked

Ameer Balaj Tipu, the son of Arif Amir, also known as Tipu Truckanwala, who himself suffered a fatal attack in 2010 at Allama Iqbal Airport, has succumbed to injuries sustained during gunfire.Police reports indicate that the assailant shot Balaj and two other guests, critically injuring them. Balaj’s armed associates swiftly retaliated, resulting in the immediate death of the attacker. Despite efforts to save him, Balaj passed away at Jinnah Hospital.
