Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren ‘spotted’ in Ranchi

ED officials went to Mr. Soren’s residence in Delhi, Jharkhand Bhavan, and several other places to interrogate him. However, he was not located at any of these places. A day following the unsuccessful attempts by Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials to interrogate Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren at his Delhi residence, he was observed leaving his residence in Ranchi on January 30. Hemant Soren, who had traveled from Ranchi to Delhi on January 27, reportedly returned to the Jharkhand State capital by road to meet his father, Shibu Soren. Despite ED officials visiting Hemant Soren’s residence in Delhi, Jharkhand Bhavan, and various other locations for questioning, he remained elusive.

Hemant Soren Holds Late-Night Meeting Amid ED’s Planned Questioning

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren arrived at his official residence in Ranchi past midnight, as captured in photographs and videos shared by the Chief Minister’s Office. A significant gathering of MLAs and ministers welcomed Mr. Soren before engaging in a meeting. The Chief Minister’s wife, Kalpana Soren, was also in attendance. All legislators from the ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha-led alliance were instructed to stay in the State capital, attending the meeting convened to strategize about the current political scenario and the Enforcement Directorate’s scheduled questioning of the Chief Minister on January 31.
