The police have hit a deadlock in investigating the murder of a 35-year-old Hyderabad woman, as they have yet to recover any remains after her husband allegedly killed her and reportedly boiled her body parts before disposing of them in various locations.

Commissioner of Police G Sudheer Babu told the publication, “We are collecting all technical and scientific pieces of evidence and investigating the case, as we cannot rely on mere claims.”

Gurumurthy, the victim’s husband and a retired Army jawan from Andhra Pradesh, claimed that he killed his wife, dismembered her body, boiled the parts, and disposed of them in a lake at Jillelaguda on the city’s outskirts.

Since Gurumurthy’s confession, the Hyderabad Police has been corroborating forensic and technical evidence to verify his claims and determine exactly what happened to his wife, P Venkata Madhavi.

Police Detain Suspect Amidst Lack of Formal Arrest in Gruesome Murder Case

Despite the confession, the police have not recorded an arrest in the case as of Thursday evening. However, they have taken the suspect into custody. The suspect, now working as a security guard, told the police that he murdered his wife in a fit of rage. Investigators believe he did everything possible to avoid getting caught.
