Two months after their marriage, a newlywed couple was shot and killed on Monday morning in Hansi, Hisar district, in what is believed to be an honour killing in Haryana.

The woman was from Badala village, and the male was from Sultanpur village in Hisar, according to the police. The couple was shot on Monday morning as they were in a park by two men riding motorcycles.

Police Investigate Honour Killing Angle
This year on April 22, they tied the knot in Ghaziabad. Since they were related, as we now know, their family opposed their marriage. The precise events are being investigated, according to Maqsood Ahmed, the Hansi superintendent of police.

It’s possible that the two motorbike riders fired at them with two separate firearms. Seven empty cartridges have been found at the location by the police. The forensic science laboratory (FSL) team discovered four to five bullet wounds on the couple’s remains. The precise number of rounds that were shot at them would be discovered at their autopsy, Ahmed continued. In connection with the investigation into the killings, a police team was dispatched to the man’s hamlet and is working with a team from the Crime Investigation Agency.
