Four Gangsters Killed, Three Police Personnel Injured in Gurugram Encounter

The Gurugram Police Crime Branch killed four suspected shooters during a fierce encounter in Sushant Lok Phase-2 on Wednesday. The accused allegedly worked for foreign-based gangster Deepak Nandal and targeted a prominent businessman’s residence. Police said the businessman had received repeated extortion threats before the attack. After opening fire at the house, the suspects attempted to escape from the area. Crime Branch teams intercepted them, leading to a gunfight that left four accused dead, one injured, and three police personnel wounded.

Police Respond After Receiving Information

The Gurugram Police received information through the police control room about armed criminals travelling in a suspicious Scorpio SUV. Crime Branch teams immediately rushed to the location and surrounded the area. Officers asked the suspects to surrender peacefully before taking any action. Instead, the accused allegedly fired at the police team with sophisticated automatic weapons. The police responded in self-defence and launched an operation to stop the attackers from escaping.

The exchange of gunfire injured all five suspected shooters during the encounter. Police shifted the injured accused to a nearby private super-speciality hospital without delay. Doctors declared four suspects dead, while another remains under treatment. Three Gurugram Police Crime Branch personnel also sustained bullet injuries during the operation. Hospital authorities admitted the injured officers and continue to monitor their condition under medical supervision.

Investigation Continues at Encounter Site

Senior police officers, including the DCP Crime and DCP East, reached the encounter site soon after the operation ended. Teams from the Forensic Science Laboratory and the Scene of Crime unit examined the area thoroughly. Investigators documented the crime scene and collected scientific evidence to support the investigation. Police also recovered five automatic weapons allegedly used by the suspects during the attack. Officials said they will verify the identities and criminal records of the accused before releasing further details.

Gurugram Police have started legal proceedings and continue investigating every aspect of the encounter. Officials believe the suspects carried out the attack as part of an extortion attempt linked to foreign-based gangster Deepak Nandal. The police reaffirmed their commitment to eliminating organized crime and protecting residents from criminal activities. Authorities urged citizens to report suspicious movements and cooperate with law enforcement agencies. Police said they will release additional information after completing the verification process and the ongoing investigation.
