Gangster Mukhtar Ansari convicted by UP court in 1991 Awadhesh Rai murder

UP gangster Mukhtar Ansari has been convicted in the Awadhesh Rai murder case dating back to 1991. Congress leader and brother of former MLA Ajay Rai, Awadhesh Rai, was shot dead outside Ajay Rai’s house in Varanasi.

Mafia Mukhtar Ansari convicted in kidnapping, murder of BJP MLA Krishnanand Rai, sentenced to 10 years imprisonment

Jailed mafia Muktar Ansari has been convicted in a kidnapping and murder case pertaining to the killing of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Krishnanand Rai. Ansari has been sentenced to ten years of imprisonment by an MP MLA court in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh. 

Ghazipur’s MP-MLA court also convicted Afzal Ansari, BSP MP and brother of gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari, in a gangster case & sentenced him to 4 years imprionment and imposed a fine of ₹1 lakh.
