Delhi Police revealed that the threat extended beyond Lady Sri Ram College, reaching other colleges affiliated with the University of Delhi, as indicated by the email’s CC list. DCP Rajesh Deo confirmed the incident as a hoax, initiating a comprehensive investigation by law enforcement. The swift and thorough search operation ensured the safety of students and staff.
LSR Principal Suman Sharma assured the public that the entire campus underwent sanitation procedures following the incident. She praised the quick response of authorities, including the deployment of bomb disposal squads conducting meticulous searches lasting several hours. This event follows recent similar threats received by the Union Home Ministry, signaling a concerning trend of hoax threats targeting educational and governmental institutions.
