Delhi: 17-Year-Old Allegedly Raped by Three Men Posing as Cops Near Kalkaji Temple

Delhi: Delhi Police reported an alleged gang-rape case involving a 17-year-old girl near Kalkaji Temple. According to the police, the girl had visited the temple with her 17-year-old friend to offer prayers. After completing their darshan, the two girls went to Astha Kunj Park near the temple. The incident allegedly took place around 7:30 PM on Monday. Police received a PCR call regarding the incident at around 8:45 PM.

Three Men Allegedly Posed as Police Officers

According to the complainant’s statement, three men approached the girls inside Astha Kunj Park. The accused allegedly claimed that they were police officers and threatened the two girls. One of the men allegedly restrained the victim’s friend during the incident. The victim alleged that all three men then sexually assaulted her. Delhi Police registered the case after receiving information about the alleged crime.

Delhi Police immediately launched an investigation after receiving the complaint. Special teams began searching for the three accused in connection with the alleged incident. Police officials tracked the suspects as part of the operation. One of the accused was apprehended following an exchange of fire with the police. Officials continued searching the area for the remaining suspects.

All Three Accused Arrested

After several hours of searching, police teams traced and arrested the other two accused. Delhi Police confirmed that all three suspects were taken into custody. The arrests followed an extensive search operation conducted by special teams. Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the alleged crime.
