The Delhi High Court received a bomb threat email on Friday, causing panic among officials immediately.
Judges abruptly left courtrooms around 11:40 am after receiving alerts about the potential bomb threat.
Security teams responded quickly and relocated all judges to the judges’ lounge for safety measures.
The threat email reached the registrar general and other official IDs of Delhi High Court authorities. It warned of a bomb blast in the judge chambers but didn’t mention any specific names. Court officials treated the threat seriously and initiated standard emergency protocols without any delay.

Bomb Threat Hits Delhi High Court
By 12:20 pm, the Delhi High Court Bar Association, court staff, and security personnel began evacuating the premises. They cleared the building to allow authorities to conduct a thorough search for any possible threats. The CRPF deployed personnel on the first floor where the judges’ lounge is located.
At 12:25 pm, the Delhi Fire Service received the bomb threat alert from the High Court. DFS teams responded immediately and coordinated with police to carry out emergency checks and manage the situation. Several agencies worked together to ensure the safety of judges, lawyers, staff, and visitors.According to police, the threatening email was sent from an Outlook.com address at 8:38 am. The Bomb Detection Team, Bomb Disposal Squad, Dog Squad, and fire brigade rushed to the scene for inspection. Authorities initiated a full-scale search operation, which continued into the afternoon to rule out any danger.
