Delhi Education Reform Protests

Thousands of people returned to the streets of central Delhi on Tuesday to demand education reforms. The fresh demonstration followed violent clashes between protesters and Delhi Police a day earlier. Many students and young people joined the march despite fears of another crackdown. Protesters carried banners, helmets, and water bottles as they prepared for a long day. They said they would continue their campaign until the government addressed their demands. The Delhi education protests remained peaceful during the early hours of the gathering.

The movement is led by the youth-based Cockroach Janta Party (CJP). The group has called for the resignation of the education minister. It also seeks major changes to the country’s education system. Protesters claimed the current system is unfair and affected by corruption. They urged the government to improve transparency and provide equal opportunities for students. As a result, the Delhi education protests attracted thousands of supporters from different backgrounds.

Protesters demand education reforms and the education

On Monday, more than 50,000 people reportedly joined the protest across central Delhi. However, the situation changed after police stopped the planned march toward Parliament. Authorities placed barricades across key roads and restricted movement. Officials also suspended internet services in several areas. Later, police used batons and tear gas to disperse the crowd. Consequently, tensions increased during the Delhi education protests.

Police said they acted to control public disorder and maintain security. However, protest organisers rejected that claim. They alleged that officers used force without provocation. Witnesses also reported that women and children were among those injured. Around 60 people reportedly suffered injuries. At least one protester remains on a ventilator in intensive care. These developments have increased public concern over the Delhi education protests.

The protesters have vowed to continue their campaign despite the violence. They said they would remain on the streets until the government responds to their demands. Meanwhile, rights groups and political observers continue to monitor the situation closely. The demonstrations have become one of the largest youth-led movements in recent months.
