Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC K Kavitha, daughter of former Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, faces new legal hurdles as the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrests her in connection with the now-defunct Delhi liquor policy case. This comes after her previous arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on March 15, on money laundering charges related to the same case, leading to her incarceration in Tihar Jail until April 23.
Kavitha vehemently denies any wrongdoing, labeling the charges against her as politically motivated and devoid of substantial evidence. Despite her imprisonment, she challenges the legitimacy of the accusations, maintaining her innocence.
