Delhi man accused of raping British tourist

According to Delhi Police, a British woman traveled to Delhi specifically to meet a man she had befriended on social media. Reports from news agency ANI indicate that she was allegedly gang-raped by two men at a hotel in Mahipalpur. One of the accused, identified as Kailash, had connected with the victim on Instagram. Both suspects have been arrested, and the British High Commission has been informed about the incident.

Before meeting Kailash, the woman had been traveling in Maharashtra and Goa. She later decided to visit him after receiving his invitation. Reports indicate that the incident took place after the three had alcohol at the hotel. When she resisted, Kailash allegedly attacked her and then called his accomplice, Wasim, into the room.

Delhi Police Arrests Two in Alleged Rape of British Woman

Delhi police arrested a man for allegedly raping a British woman at a Mahipalpur hotel in Delhi, while his accomplice was taken into custody for molestation.

The woman, who had befriended the man on social media, traveled from the UK to Delhi to meet him. Authorities have also informed the British High Commission about the incident.

Kailash, a resident of Vasundhara, Mayur Vihar, East Delhi, is known for creating Instagram reels. A few months ago, he connected with the London-based woman through Instagram. While she was visiting Maharashtra and Goa, she contacted Kailash and invited him to meet her. However, he declined and instead persuaded her to come to Delhi.

On Tuesday evening, the woman arrived in Delhi and checked into a hotel in Mahipalpur. Responding to her invitation, Kailash, accompanied by his friend Wasim, visited her at the hotel. The trio consumed alcohol and had dinner before heading to her room.

Kailash allegedly forced himself on the woman against her will, according to a report in Amar Ujala. When she protested and created a commotion, Kailash called Wasim into the room to calm her down.
