Baba Siddique Shot dead: Mumbai Police Reveal Killers Used YouTube for Shooting Practice

According to a report by news agency ANI, Gurmail Singh and Dharamraj Kashyap, accused of murdering former Maharashtra minister and NCP leader Baba Siddique, learned shooting skills through YouTube videos, as stated by the Mumbai Police. The police have arrested four individuals in connection with Siddique’s murder. While three others are still on the run, with multiple teams deployed to locate them.

Mumbai Police Recover Key Evidence in Baba Siddique Murder Case

The Mumbai Police Crime Branch, leading the investigation, has recovered a black bag containing a 7.62 mm firearm, according to officials. “The accused were provided with Baba Siddique’s photo for identification. The shooters had surveyed his residence and office 25 days before the crime. Gurmail Singh and Dharamraj Kashyap learned shooting techniques from YouTube and practiced shooting without a magazine in Mumbai,” stated the police, as reported by ANI. In addition, the Crime Branch has apprehended the fourth suspect, 23-year-old Harishkumar Balakram. From Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, for allegedly offering financial support and coordinating logistics in the high-profile assassination.

Fatally Shot Outside Son’s Office, Investigation Reveals Pune Connection

Baba Siddique (66) was ambushed by three individuals outside the office of his MLA son, Zeeshan Siddique, in Mumbai’s Nirmal Nagar area on Saturday night. He was immediately rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. He was laid to rest the following day. According to the Mumbai Crime Branch, the murder was meticulously planned in Pune. So far, the Crime Branch has recorded statements from over 15 people, including multiple eyewitnesses present at the scene of the crime.

Bishnoi Gang’s Involvement Suspected in Murder, Highlights Influence from Behind Bars

The attackers claimed affiliation with the Bishnoi gang, whose leader Lawrence Bishnoi is currently imprisoned in Gujarat’s Sabarmati Jail. The murder of Baba Siddique has drawn attention to the Bishnoi gang’s operations. Showcasing their capacity to plan and carry out high-profile crimes even from within prison walls.
