Zero Tolerance on Misuse of Faith, Says CM Yogi Adityanath

Yogi Adityanath recalled his earlier assurance during his June 19 visit to Ayodhya. He said he clearly warned against any attempt to misuse public trust or damage the dignity of sacred places. Sharp Attack on Opposition Over Ram Mandir Issue

Yogi Adityanath also launched a strong political attack on opposition parties during his remarks. He accused them of politicizing the issue despite their past positions on the Ram Mandir movement. He said some groups once denied the existence of Lord Ram and opposed temple construction. He alleged that they consistently challenged the Ram Janmabhoomi case in courts. He also said certain groups previously engaged in violent protests against devotional slogans. He claimed those same voices now question the government’s actions on faith-related issues. He argued that such criticism reflects political inconsistency and opportunism.

The Chief Minister further accused the Congress of encouraging corruption and weakening national institutions in the past. He said the party attempted to divert attention from ongoing investigations through criticism. He alleged that Congress previously created tensions during religious festivals and public events. He claimed it restricted celebrations and encouraged social unrest in various cases. He stated that such actions damaged public harmony and trust over time. He emphasized that the current government remains committed to transparency and accountability. He concluded that protecting public faith and ensuring justice will remain the state’s priority.
