Amroha Shock: Woman Gang-Raped by 2 UP Cops and 2 CRPF Personnel at MLA’s Farmhouse

A 24-year-old woman from Haryana has alleged that four men sexually assaulted her at a farmhouse in Uttar Pradesh’s Amroha district. The accused include two UP Police personnel and two CRPF personnel. Police said the woman had travelled to Amroha after being invited to visit religious places. The alleged incident took place at a farmhouse along the Atrasi-Hasanpur road. Police later reached the location and rescued the woman.

Woman Allegedly Lured on Pretext of Religious Visit

According to Amroha police, a woman acquaintance contacted the survivor on September 20 and introduced her to CRPF Inspector Mohit. She allegedly agreed to meet him with the understanding that they would visit religious places in Amroha. The woman met Mohit in Sonipat on September 21, and they later travelled to Meerut. CRPF Head Constable Lalaram Yadav subsequently joined them before they travelled towards Amroha.

On September 22, the two CRPF personnel allegedly took the woman to Hasanpur and picked up UP Police Sub-Inspector Sanjay Tomar on the way. The group then went to a farmhouse on the Atrasi-Hasanpur road and rented two rooms. Police said UP Police Head Constable Pramod arranged food and liquor at the property. The woman alleged that Mohit, Lalaram Yadav and Sanjay Tomar sexually assaulted her one after another. She further alleged that Pramod later entered the room and attempted to assault her.

Survivor Contacted Police, Four Accused Arrested

The woman told police that she resisted Pramod, pushed him outside and locked the room. She then searched online for a police helpline number and contacted authorities around 6 am on Wednesday. Teams from Hasanpur and Rajabpur police stations reached the farmhouse and took her to safety. Police arrested all four accused following her complaint. An FIR was registered under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita concerning abduction or enticement and gang rape, and the accused were sent to judicial custody.

Police have also initiated departmental action against the personnel involved. The local UP Police sub-inspector has been suspended, while authorities have informed senior CRPF officials and recommended disciplinary action against the two CRPF personnel. Police are also questioning the farmhouse manager as part of the investigation. The property reportedly belongs to an independent MLA from Uttarakhand, according to the Hasanpur police station in-charge. The investigation remains underway.
