Zomato Changes Dress Code to Red for All Riders in Response to ‘Pure Veg’ Fleet

Zomato made an announcement regarding the introduction of a specialized fleet designated specifically to handle orders from ‘pure vegetarian’ restaurants. Amidst the criticism on social media regarding the new ‘pure veg fleet’, Zomato’s founder and CEO, Deepinder Goyal, provided clarification. He addressed the backlash through a post on X (formerly Twitter), stating, Although we will continue to maintain a separate fleet for vegetarian orders, we have opted to eliminate the physical differentiation of this fleet by using the color green. Instead, all of our delivery riders both from our regular fleet and the one dedicated to vegetarian orders will now wear the Dress Code color red.
