India’s largest telecom company Reliance Jio has announced the financial results from January to March 2022. In the results released by the company, detailed information has been given about everything from ARPU (Average Revenue per User), Subscribers. The company has also suffered a setback in many places, but despite all this, a bumper increase has been registered in the profit of Jio.
Between January and March, about 1 crore 10 lakh subscribers of Jio have left the company. In the last three quarters, 30 million (about 30 million) subscribers of the company have left. Even after the launch of Jio Phone Next, the number of subscribers of the company continued to decrease. Many reasons behind this have come out.
Profits increased even after decreasing subscribers-
Due to decrease in subscribers, the company had increased the price of its tariff by 21 percent. After this the subscribers who not active left the company. Also, those who had two SIMs in their mobile phones, after the plan became expensive, they kept only one SIM. Jio monthly plans are still very cheap compare to Vodafone, Airtel. This is the reason why the company’s ARPU has increased. ARPU means how much average company gets per user per month.
Between January and March 2022, the company has made a profit of Rs 4,313 crore, which was Rs 3,795 crore in the previous quarter. That is, even after the reduction of subscribers, there has been a jump of 14% in the profit of the company’s Reliance Jio. On a year-on-year basis, the profit of Reliance Jio has increased by about 23%. However, this profit is still much less than the target set by the company.
