The Income Tax Department is currently conducting raids at multiple premises linked to Trident Group, a company involved in various sectors such as yarn, home textiles, paper and stationery, chemicals, and adaptive power. Trident Group operates manufacturing facilities in Budhni, Madhya Pradesh, as well as in Barnala and Dhaula, Punjab.
Trident Group, established by the renowned Padma Shri awardee Rajinder Gupta, is a significant presence in several sectors and manages manufacturing facilities at strategic sites.
The investigations are not confined to a singular site, as authorities are concurrently conducting inquiries in numerous urban centers. Officials have reported that the raid at the Budhni facility in Madhya Pradesh involves over 40 officials.

This operation encompasses various properties associated with the founders and senior executives of the Trident Group. Founded during the initial phases of India’s economic liberalization, the Trident Group has undergone substantial expansion. It now holds a prominent position across diverse sectors.
The Trident Group has progressively broadened its range of businesses to encompass paper, chemicals, energy, and other sectors. These income tax raids are anticipated to provide insight into the financial transactions and documentation of the Trident Group, with authorities aiming to verify adherence to tax regulations.
