Versatile actor Vicky Kaushal is renowned for his diverse roles. Interestingly, before his rise to fame, Kaushal worked as an assistant director on Anurag Kashyap’s acclaimed film, Gangs of Wasseypur. However, few know that he was once arrested during the making of this film.

Anurag Kashyap Reveals Vicky Kaushal’s Arrest During Gangs of Wasseypur Shoot
Director Anurag Kashyap revealed this surprising incident on Kapil Sharma’s show during the tenth anniversary of Gangs of Wasseypur. When cast member Piyush Mishra humorously remarked that it’s surprising when a crew member of Kashyap avoids arrest, Kashyap shared that Vicky Kaushal did get arrested while they were filming. He explained in Hindi, “During Wasseypur, Vicky Kaushal went to jail once. We would shoot without permission, and once we were shooting the actual illegal sand mining that the mafia was conducting there. And Vicky got caught.”

Now a National Award-winning actor, Vicky Kaushal made his acting debut with Neeraj Ghaywan’s Masaan. After his stint on Gangs of Wasseypur, Kaushal collaborated with Kashyap on three more projects. He starred in the psychological thriller Raman Raghav 2.0 and the romantic drama Manmarziyaan, alongside Abhishek Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu. Additionally, he made a cameo appearance in Kashyap’s Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat. Currently, Vicky Kaushal has several exciting projects lined up, including Bad Newz and Chhaava.
