Ajay Movie Hits Rs 100 Cr Worldwide, Ranks Third Among Top-grossing Hindi Films of 2024

Shaitaan’s Box Office Success: Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan, and Jyotika’s Supernatural Thriller Garners Nearly Rs 75 Crore in India Within Six Days. Shaitaan enters the Rs 100 Crore club worldwide by its fifth day, Tuesday. As Per Sacnilk.com Report, the Films Added Around Rs 6.25 crore to its Indian collections on the sixth day, Wednesday, bringing its total to Rs 74 Crore net in India according to early estimates.

According to Sacnilk.com, Shaitaan amassed approximately Rs 80 crore in India and an estimated Rs 20 crore overseas within five days. This achievement makes it the third Hindi movie, following Fighter starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, and Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya featuring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, to reach this milestone in 2024. Furthermore, Shaitaan becomes the seventh Indian film of 2024 to surpass the Rs 100 crore worldwide gross mark.

Jyotika Achieves Milestone with Her First Rs 100 Crore Films

According to the portal, Shaitaan marks Ajay Devgn’s third consecutive movie in the post-Covid-19 pandemic era to surpass the century mark at the global box office, following “Drishyam 2” and “Bholaa”. Additionally, he has been associated with successes like “RRR” and “Gangubai Kathiawadi” in extended roles.

For Jyotika, who made her Bollywood comeback after more than two decades, “Shaitaan” represents her first Rs 100 crore movie, while for R Madhavan, it is his third film to achieve this milestone. Director Vikas Bahl also achieves his second Rs 100 crore grosser after 2019’s Hrithik-starrer “Super 30”.

The horror film ‘Shaitaan’ is helmed by Vikas Bahl and is backed by Jio Studios, Devgn Films, and Panorama Studios. Produced by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak, Shaitaan’marks a collaborative effort among these entities. It serves as the Hindi adaptation of the 2023 Gujarati horror flick ‘Vash,’ originally penned and directed by Krishnadev Yagnik.
