Rhea Chakraborty has recounted her. Time in jail after the tragic death of her ex-boyfriend, Sushant Singh Rajput, in 2020. Reflecting on that difficult period, she highlighted the essential support her friends provided, both in helping her cope and in assisting her parents while she and her brother were detained in Byculla jail.
Rhea Chakraborty Surprised by Friends’ Support and Weight Gain of Her Parents During Her Jail Time
Rhea recalled a surprising moment upon her.release from jail when she noticed her parents and friends had gained weight. Curious, she asked about it and discovered that her friends had been visiting her. Parents regularly, sharing meals and drinks with them each night. “One of my friends told me that they were drinking with my dad and eating with them every night while we were in jail. When I came out and saw the weight gain, I joked about how they were eating well while we were locked up. They explained that they were just trying to help my parents feel a bit normal. I was like, ‘Oh wow!’”

This gesture of kindness profoundly affected Rhea. Reflecting on the steadfast support from her. friends and their help with her family, she said, “I was surrounded by incredibly strong women. The support from some of my girlfriends was extraordinary. You don’t need anything more than one true friend in life, and Shibani (Dandekar) was that for me. The way Shivani stood by me made me realize that even if the whole world was against me, having one friend like her was enough.”
On the personal front, there are rumors that Rhea Chakraborty is seeing Nikhil Kamath, the founder of Zerodha.
