Reddit user Fine_Farm_8583 conducted online research and discovered that the black bag Alia carried was a $2800 calf leather bag. They included a Google search result indicating that calf skin is sourced from cows as young as three years old. Their post was titled, Alia Bhatt, Producer of Poacher, Promoting Calf Leather Bag.’ However, while the website ‘Net-a-Porter’ specifies calf leather, the original Gucci listing only mentions ‘black leather.

Reddit Accuses Alia Bhatt of Hypocrisy

Comments and criticized Alia as a ‘hypocrite’ for posing with leather bags despite advocating for animal welfare. Another comment highlighted that while Gucci may provide her with limited options, as a prominent figure, she could have refused or demanded alternatives.
