Rahul Bose recently commented on the phenomenon of ‘star culture’ amidst the rise of OTT platforms in the film industry. During an interview with Times Now, Bose responded to questions about Kangana Ranaut’s statement, in which she referred to Shah Rukh Khan and herself as the ‘last generation of superstars’.

When questioned about whether the rise of OTT platforms has reduced the significance of star culture, Rahul Bose expressed that audiences are indifferent to the quality of acting by stars. He stated, You don’t care whether they’re portraying a rural character or an industrialist. You simply want to watch them. You don’t mind if they’re depicting a cricketer or an aeronautical scientist. You’re just eager to see them. Their acting proficiency is irrelevant. You’re solely interested in seeing them.
