Kajol reveals how she teaches daughter Nysa Devgan to deal with social media trolls: ‘Don’t know how much of it is real’

Actor Kajol has spent 34 years in the entertainment industry, becoming familiar with both its highs and lows, as well as the constant public scrutiny that comes with fame. However, her children are still adjusting to the social media spotlight. While her 14-year-old son Yug is still too young to be affected by online attention, her 22-year-old daughter Nysa has faced significant social media trolling. Kajol opened up about these harsh comments and shared how she supports Nysa in coping with them.

Kajol on Motherhood, Social media Trolls, and Her Fierce Protective Side

Kajol is busy promoting her upcoming film Maa, in which she plays a mother fighting to save her daughter. She admits to being a protective parent in real life too. While she once related to her controlling role in Helicopter Eela, she says she’s now more relaxed, though still fiercely protective. When asked how she copes with the online trolling aimed at her daughter Nysa, Kajol responds with humor, saying, “Don’t come in front of my car, or I’ll drive over you.”

Kajol’s Advice to Nysa: Focus on the Love, Not the Trolls

She shares the advice that she gives Nysa while dealing with online feedback. “You have to concentrate on the good. If you have a thousand comments, you will have 999 saying ‘she is amazing’, ‘she is beautiful’. So much love they get, so many blessings they get. Concentrate on that and don’t think too much about all these people. That’s all you can do,” says Kajol. ‘You have to concentrate on the good’. But then the actor turns serious and responds, “I keep telling them, ‘It’s just 1% or 0.1% of people who are talking like that’. I don’t even know if they are even real, to be honest. You don’t know how much of it is real.”
