“Chhaava Crosses ₹100 Crore in Opening Weekend”

Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava has made a remarkable impact at the box office, surpassing ₹100 crore in just its opening weekend. The historical action film witnessed a significant surge on Day 3, with an impressive ₹48.5 crore added to its total, as reported by industry tracker Sacnilk. The film achieved a 62.48% Hindi occupancy on its first Sunday, indicating strong audience engagement across various regions.

Released on February 14, Chhaava has quickly amassed ₹116.5 crore in the domestic market. This impressive box office performance highlights the widespread appeal of the film, which is based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the second ruler of the Maratha Confederacy. With its gripping storytelling and stellar performances, the film has captured the audience’s attention and is showing tremendous growth, especially considering its opening weekend numbers. The film’s continued success suggests that Chhaava is resonating with viewers both within Maharashtra and in key markets across India.

Directed by Laxman Utekar, the historical action film is based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the second ruler of the Maratha Confederacy. Kaushal plays Sambhaji Maharaj, while Rashmika Mandanna portrays his wife, Yesubai Bhonsale. The movie also features strong performances from Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb, Ashutosh Rana as Hambirrao Mohite, Diana Penty as Zinat-un-Nissa Begum, and Divya Dutta as Soyarabai.
