Amitabh Bachchan buys plot in Ayodhya for ₹14.5 crore

Amitabh Bachchan, the legendary Bollywood actor hailing from Allahabad (now Prayagraj), has recently made a significant investment. He acquired a plot in Ayodhya valued at ₹14.5 crore, where he plans to build a home. This purchase comes ahead of the ‘Pran Prathista’ ceremony for the Ram Mandir. The plot is situated in The Sarayu, a 7-star mixed-use enclave in Ayodhya developed by Mumbai-based firm The House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL).

The report citing people familiar wit the transaction between HoABL and Amitabh Bachchan told HT that Bachchan intends to build a home measured around 10,000 square feet and was valued at ₹14.5 crore.

The inauguration of The Sarayu is scheduled for 22 January, coinciding with the ‘Pran Prathista’ ceremony of the Ram Mandir. On this day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be inaugurating the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya.

Amitabh Bachchan’s Heartfelt Venture:

Amitabh Bachchan’s investment is in the plotted development of the enclave, which will also have a five-star palace hotel in partnership with the Brookfield group-owned Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts. The project is scheduled to be completed by March 2028.
