A malfunction in the door lock trapped a male passenger inside the aircraft’s toilet for over an hour during a SpiceJet flight from Mumbai to Bengaluru. Engineers had to break open the door to rescue the passenger after the flight landed at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA). SpiceJet acknowledged the incident, apologized for the inconvenience caused, and assured a full refund to the affected passenger.

SpiceJet Flight SG-268, departing from Mumbai airport during the early hours of Tuesday, experienced an unusual incident involving a passenger seated at 14D. The individual, attempting to use the toilet after takeoff, encountered a malfunction in the door lock, resulting in their inability to exit. Despite the crew and fellow passengers making efforts to assist from outside, the door remained jammed.
