A small plane aircraft crashed into a mobile home park, claiming the lives of the pilot and possibly a resident, while also causing extensive damage by igniting four trailers in a devastating blaze.

The Beechcraft 35 Bonanza, a single-engine plane, departed Vero Beach Regional Airport at 6:08 p.m., per FlightAware. En route to Clearwater, near Tampa, the pilot, a 62-year-old man, reported engine failure to air traffic control, declaring a “mayday.” The plane crashed into Bayside Waters mobile home park, known as Japanese Garden, around 7:15 p.m., as shared by Fire Chief Scott Ehlers in a press conference.

The incident was recorded by onlookers and shared on X, a social media platform. The video depicted a dense white smoke cloud rising from the wreckage, with flames engulfing multiple trailers. The collision was so forceful that the plane crashed into one trailer, setting three others ablaze, resulting in a massive fire visible from a considerable distance.
