School Bus Overturns in Mahendragarh, Haryana, Resulting in 5 Children’s Deaths and 15 Injuries

Five school students are reported to have tragically died, with 15 more injured, in a school bus accident in Haryana’s Mahendragarh district on Thursday morning. The incident took place near Kanina village when a private school bus met with an accident.

Dr Ravi Kaushik, Nihal hospital, Mahendragarh, said, “Four students were brought dead and one critical student who was put on a ventilator passed away at the hospital.15 injured students have been referred to another hospital. SDM and administration present.”

The bus, which was transporting students from GRL School to their homes, overturned while attempting to overtake another vehicle on the road. It was reported that the bus was carrying approximately 35 to 40 students ranging from Class 4 to Class 10. The injured students were taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention.

As reported by PTI, Preliminary reports suggest that the bus overturned while overtaking a vehicle in Mahendragarh. “Several school children have been injured,” a police official said.
