During the early hours of Thursday, a speeding truck collided with a tractor carrying around 25 Navaratri pilgrims near Tekari village in Rohtas district. The collision resulted in the death of two pilgrims and left over 20 others injured. One of the injured passengers, Savita Devi, stated that the truck rammed into the tractor from behind, causing it to overturn and drag both vehicles for several meters before plunging into a roadside ditch.

Police Launch Investigation Into Series of Tragic Accidents in Rohtas District
Two individuals, identified as Bandhan Kumhar and Anil Bari, lost their lives instantly in the accident. Following the incident, police and a rescue team from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) transported the injured pilgrims, who suffered from multiple cuts and fractures, to a local hospital in Sasaram. According to Civil Surgeon Dr. KN Tiwary, all patients are now in stable condition. Both vehicles involved in the collision have been seized, and an investigation has been initiated by the police after registering a case, stated Chenari Station House Officer Ranjan Kumar.
