Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called on officials to utilize the full range of India’s counter-terrorism measures. In recent days, Jammu and Kashmir have experienced a series of terror attacks in Reasi, Kathua, and Doda districts. These attacks have resulted in the deaths of nine pilgrims and a CRPF officer, as well as injuries to seven security personnel and several others. In response, the J&K police have formed 11 teams to investigate, and a team from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) is also assessing the situation in Reasi.

PM Modi briefed on J&K security and counter-terror measures
In Thursday’s meeting, Prime Minister Modi received a comprehensive briefing on the security situation in the union territory and the ongoing counter-terrorism efforts. He urged senior officials to utilize the entire range of India’s counter-terrorism capabilities. Additionally, Modi discussed the deployment of security forces and counter-terror operations with Home Minister Amit Shah.
That same night, terrorists attacked a house in Saida Sukhal village, Hiranagar, leading to an encounter in which a CRPF Jawan and a terrorist were killed in Kathua district. On Wednesday evening, terrorists engaged in a gunfight with police in the Kota Top area of Doda district, injuring a policeman.

Terrorists attack pilgrims’ bus and checkpost, causing multiple casualties
On Sunday, terrorists attacked a bus carrying pilgrims in Reasi, causing it to veer off the road and plunge into a deep gorge, resulting in nine deaths and 41 injuries.
