Police recovered a suicide note, allegedly written by the man, revealing his financial struggles and health issues.
“We shifted the bodies to Gandhi Hospital for post-mortem and launched an investigation,” Inspector N Rajender said, adding that they registered a case of suspicious deaths.
The officer stated that the family, originally from Mukuralla village in Kalwakurthy block, Mahabubnagar district, moved to Habsiguda a year ago. The man, previously a lecturer at a private college, had been unemployed for six months.
“The family’s severe financial distress, caused by his prolonged joblessness, may have led to the mass suicides,” he added.
In the note, the man expressed deep distress over his failing career and worsening health.
“No one is responsible for my death. I had no choice but to end my life. Please forgive me. I have struggled in my career and suffered physically and mentally. I have battled diabetes, nerve-related issues, and kidney diseases,” he wrote in Telugu.
