A video showing the aftermath of a fatal road accident in Hyderabad has surfaced days after the incident. The crash took place on August 16 near Inorbit Mall when a speeding Aston Martin struck 26-year-old Bharati Mukhi while she crossed the road. The footage captures Bharati lying injured on the road as her colleague cries for help. Several bystanders quickly gathered at the scene and confronted the driver. They prevented him from leaving and helped move Bharati into the same Aston Martin. The group then rushed her to Apollo Hospital in Jubilee Hills. Doctors examined Bharati and declared her dead on arrival. The incident has drawn attention to road safety and allegations of rash driving. Police have begun investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and the events that followed the collision. Authorities are also examining the vehicle and statements from witnesses who reached the spot.
Police Seize Aston Martin, Continue Investigation
Police identified 21-year-old Lingamaneni Sanjush as the accused driver in the case. Sanjush is the son of Andhra Pradesh Rajya Sabha MP and Jana Sena Party leader Lingamaneni Ramesh. Police said the Aston Martin struck Bharati as she crossed the road near the busy shopping complex. After the crash, bystanders confronted Sanjush and stopped him from leaving the location. The newly surfaced video records the tense moments and shows people attempting to help Bharati. Police later seized the Aston Martin, which carries registration number TG-09-G-0666, as part of the investigation. Authorities are examining the circumstances that led to the collision and the actions of everyone involved after the crash. Bharati worked as a sales executive at the Lifestyle store inside Inorbit Mall. The two women later travelled back towards the mall when the Aston Martin hit Bharati. The impact left Bharati critically injured, prompting people at the scene to seek immediate medical assistance. Bystanders placed her inside the vehicle involved in the collision and took her to Apollo Hospital in Jubilee Hills. Despite their efforts, doctors declared her dead on arrival. Police have spoken to people connected with the incident and are examining the complaint filed by the Lifestyle store manager. Investigators are also working to establish the exact circumstances of the crash and determine how the vehicle approached Bharati before the collision occurred.

Madhapur Police registered a case after Panjala Ashwin Kumar, the manager of the Lifestyle store where Bharati worked, filed a complaint. Police invoked Section 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, which deals with causing death through a rash or negligent act. Cyberabad Police seized the Aston Martin and continued gathering evidence related to the accident. A senior police official said authorities had not arrested Sanjush because the alleged offence is bailable. Police served him a notice and asked him to cooperate with the investigation. Investigators are reviewing available evidence and statements as they determine the circumstances that led to Bharati’s death. Police action will depend on the findings of the investigation. Officials have also focused on the events immediately after the collision, including the actions of bystanders and the movement of the injured woman to the hospital.
Bharati’s aunt described her as the sole breadwinner of her family and appealed to the government for financial assistance. She said Bharati had gone for lunch during her work break when the speeding vehicle struck and killed her. The family now faces financial difficulties following her death, according to her aunt. The tragedy has also affected Bharati’s colleagues, who witnessed the immediate aftermath of the collision and tried to secure medical help. The surfaced video has provided a visual account of the chaotic situation that followed the crash.
