Dense fog on the Delhi–Sonipat road near Bahalgarh caused a multi-vehicle crash on Monday, injuring one or two people. Poor visibility triggered the collision, adding to recent road accidents in north India. Eyewitnesses said drivers could not see vehicles ahead in time, causing a chain of crashes.
The accident unfolded in stages: one car hit another, one vehicle left the scene, and a damaged car remained on the road. Shortly after, another car collided with the stationary vehicle. In total, three cars were involved. Emergency services reached the scene quickly, providing assistance to the injured.

Police investigated the area while clearing wrecked vehicles and managing traffic to prevent further accidents. Authorities warned drivers to stay alert during early morning and late-night hours. Fog has repeatedly caused accidents across Delhi, Haryana, and nearby regions, particularly on highways and high-speed corridors.
The India Meteorological Department issued warnings for dense fog across Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, and Chandigarh. Visibility dropped to around 300 metres in parts of Haryana, including Ambala. Delhi was placed on red alert as authorities warned that fog conditions may continue, especially in early mornings.
Officials advised motorists to slow down, use fog lamps, maintain safe distances, and avoid unnecessary travel during peak fog hours. Winter fog has increased road dangers, and authorities stressed that careful driving can prevent accidents and save lives.
