Reports confirm that a devastating fire killed at least 41 people, including several Indians, in a building in the southern Mangaf district of Kuwait. The blaze started early Wednesday morning in a kitchen on a lower floor and quickly spread through the building, trapping many inside.

Five keralites among dead in Kuwait fire, Onmanorama
According to Onmanorama, five Keralites were among the victims of the fire. The building, which housed around 195 laborers including workers from Kerala and Tamil Nadu, belongs to the NBTC group owned by Malayali businessman KG Abraham.
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar expressed his shock over the incident, noting that the Indian ambassador has visited the site. Jaishankar posted on X, Deeply shocked by the news of the fire incident in Kuwait city. There are reportedly over 40 deaths and more than 50 people hospitalized. Our Ambassador has gone to the camp. We are awaiting further information.

Jaishankar expresses condolences, assures full assistance after fire
Indian ambassador to Kuwait, Adarsh Swaika, visited the Mangaf site to assess the situation. He also went to Al-Adan hospital, where over 30 injured Indian workers are being treated. He met several patients and assured them of full assistance from the Embassy,” the Indian Embassy in Kuwait posted on X.
